I’ve played this game since a few months after it was released and have always been a fan of it’s pretty fair ways if rewarding those who both pay as well as those who don’t but put in the time/effort to farm characters and materials. No more. I will no longer get behind a game I’ve put hands hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into just so I can get the “chance” at getting new characters when it’s been pay to unlock all of this time. I shall continue to play but Netmarble will never see another dime for me via subscriptions, packages or sales until this is fixed.

Refusing to update to 3.6 because of the Ultimates Chest RNG-wall characters.

I love this game and spend hours every day playing it. I’ve built up a decent roster and eagerly await every update and change. However, I will not spend a single dollar more on this game if Netmarble carries through their plan for the next update so that you can only get a group of new characters through random number generation (RNG) after paying dollars to buy crystals. This is straight out GAMBLING. Netmarble should be ashamed of themselves with this new tactic, and the iTunes Store shouldn’t allow this game to be listed here until this is changed. Kids play this game too - it’s an absolutely disgusting move by Netmarble.

Recent updates have ruined this game. Its one thing to paywall characters, but now theyve gone to paying money for the CHANCE of getting a character you want. Its predatory, and absolutely tone deaf with the current gaming climate. These companies keep pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable in terms of making money and NM have finally crossed the line for me. Ive been a daily player for close to two years and now Im quitting. Do not support this game, or these predatory practices.

It’s one of my favorite game for superhero type games. I have been playing this game for 5 months, spending quite a bit of hard earned cash to support the longevity of this game because I love it so much that I need to support the developers of the game and keep it alive. However, with upcoming update 3.6, they put the most anticipated characters: Anti-Man, Blue Marvel, and Nova behind what they called “Ultimate Character Chest” which can be purchased with crystal which based on RNG (Random Number Generator) that you will get one of the character biometrics. This is outraged and that’s the sole reason the community upset about EA loot box practice. And now Netmarble follows EA’s footstep of upsetting their royal players and supporters, including me. If this game going with this random chest path and no actions are taken to resolve this issue, I am going to quit!

This game is heading in the wrong direction. In more and more ways they are sucking money out of the community. Update after update, the last updates new power surges are replaced by something new and better a month later. That would be a fine model if the new and better weren’t new and expensive to keep up with while making the prior somewhat obsolete. Locking characters behind a paywall is one thing, and is manageable especially when some of it is grindable...but RNGwalling new characters is going too far. Save your money, be free to play in this game until they change their ways in regards to getting people to spend actual money.

I’ve enjoyed this game for some time now and have never had a problem with the way they introduce new characters and how they are made available. But with this Ultimates update however, 3 out of the 5 new characters will only be available in premium chests which means they won’t be a guarantee. Going for a premium chest means spending a significant amount of crystals and hoping you have the best of RNG to get the character. That’s not counting the fact that you will have to purchase more premium chests hoping to get the same character again so that you can increase their stats, meaning you will need that character several times, and it’s not guaranteed to get the same character every time. This is a tactic that drove people away from Contest of Champions and other games, is a severe problem with many other mobile games, and could lead to the game possibly being outlawed by gaming commissions. A similar circumstance already exists in-game with premium comics, which boost overall stats for a player. If you haven’t downloaded this game yet, don’t. But if you do, don’t spend any money at all on it. If you already have the game, don’t spend anymore. Boycott any offers they have and hopefully Netmarble will realize the mistake they’re making and stop this toxic behavior.

Jut read the update details. Nova and some of the other new characters bios are locked behind a RANDOM chance hero chest. [vomit emoji]

Too many avenues for gambling.

Edit: pop up ads, smaller rewards, and now: loot boxes! From the people who clearly learned the wrong lessons from Battlefront 2, here come your new heroes through loot boxes! You have a chance at new hero biometrics - you can get 5 in a pull for 620 crystals! (That’s about 7 bucks, btw.) Of course, you need 620 bios to bring someone to max rank and another 420 bios on average to max out gear - and you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting your hero. So, do the math - or spend $40 on a mega ticket and another $40 on a mega tier 2 ticket. That’s $80 for ONE character. The rest still follows. Do you love pop up ads? This is your game! Every time you open a new menu or start a new game mode, you have the pleasure of... not one... but two pop up ads! You can close the initial ad AND a "are you sure you want to close this" box! Thats double the pleasure! Plus, even better: harder game modes actually give you LESS rewards in this update! So, you can work harder, improve your characters.... do Shadowlands levels 26-30... and receive LESS rewards than stages 11-15!!! Lets not forget World Boss Ultimate, which is harder and much more time consuming than the original World Boss but for literally half of the rewards. As a bonus, with the new Shadowlands re-work, you can forget about being a new player and completing Shadowlands for, minimum, a year. You wont have enough characters. Ive been playing more than 2 years, with a fully maxed out roster, and i almost ran out. Forget it, if youre new.

I as a member of the community ever since launch day of the game am highly upset because Netmarble locking characters behind RNG. Being able to unlock characters and their bios by playing the game and if I spent money which I have spent a lot, I knew exactly what I was getting and that was always one of the highest points of the game. Please Netmarble don’t follow through with the RNG-WALL characters.

New heroes you can only get through buying chests with <1% chance? Unbelievable.

This game used to be great. I switched from Contest of Champions because buying RNG chests to build characters is a waste of time. Future Fight was awesome to me because it didnt rely on those gimmicks. I am a loyal gamer, and have spent enough money on this to reach VIP11. I was excited for Update 3.6, because its past updates have been solid and this one is set to include fan-favorite characters like Nova. But to get those characters you now have to buy a Ultimate Hero Chest, which is an RNG based package just like in CoC. Needless to say Im extremely disappointed in Netmarble for this greedy cash grab. I will be taking my business elsewhere and would advise others to do the same. This is a slap in the face to anyone that has been spending time on this game. It is unacceptable

New update goes too far... Bad times ahead...

This game started out very generous years back. You couldnt log in without getting free stuff. Whether it was character rank up kits or norn stones mastery kits etc. It seems this was all just a stunt to get us hooked on the game slowly but surely this game has been adding more and more gotcha mechanics and the new update blatantly makes new characters unobtainable even if you pay for them. I played this game because it was a fun action Rpg but its become a game of roulette and I for one will not stand for it. Do not download this game and if you already have keep your wallet shut.

I have put a good chunk of money into this game. I also highly recommended it to friends, it is fun, and had pretty good business practices for a mobile game. Lately though that has changed. They have begun locking powerful characters behind rng paid loot boxes, along with some other egregious rng practices. This game was great for a long period of time, but they have begun taking advantage of the goodwill the community has given it. I will update upon fix
