3.6 is an awful update. Be prepared to spend tons of money if you want the new hero’s. Garbage, simply garbage.

This has been the BEST Marvel game since its debut. Huge supporter and player since day one. But adding those RNG loot boxes to introduce characters? Giant disappointment to me. This is an easy fix. Netmarble, change this. You’ll be losing players, soon.

Netmarble just did the worst thing that could happen to this game and at the beginning, this game was really beautiful in the way they made the game. It was made to make players happy to play with marvel’s heroes and now it’s just became a game where you can make money of it. It’s just sad (Lootboxes, Paywall, Rngwall, Pay to win)

I switched to this from marvel contest of champions and have absolutely loved the game since joining over a year ago. They continue to add content, which is wonderful. However, the most recent updates have continued to add concerning features, and most recently the game added an RNG feature you actually have to pay for just to unlock heroes. This is a cash grab without question, and why I quit contest of champions. It is ridiculous to pay for a chance to get what you want. If you are going to pay for something, which I have done repeatedly in the game before this, then you should actually get what you want. This is not a casino. Unless they change this new feature, I would not become invested in this game. Crappy moves like this have killed a lot of other games, and it could signify the beginning of the end here, which makes me sad because I’ve been playing this for over a year and truly enjoyed it.

It was one of the best free games to play, you could experience 99% of the game without spending. Since I appreciated the model I ended up buying numerous items. With every update they continue to get greedier though, and with patch 3.6 they are actually locking new characters in randomized loot boxes. Theyve had other loot boxes for a while that didnt have anything necessary so they were easy to pass up, but some people spent a lot on those and determined the odds of getting a decent item was under 1%. Youd have to spend hundreds to get that item, and now youll need to spend hundreds to get new chars (I guess pray that your fav char isnt one of the ones locked in loot boxes). This on the heels of the EA microtransaction fiasco. I am quitting this game, I highly recommend you not install it. Dont support such anti-consumer greed.

Really disappointed at netmarbles greed. I get they need to generate revenue to continue to put out a good quality game, but what’s changed from day one to now? I’ve spent a few hundred on this game when I knew what I was getting. But now everything is almost RNG. I’m not into gambling and have left other games because of it. I want what I pay for.

Putting new characters into the RNG systems with no other way of unlocking them is crap. Minor paywalls for characters is one thing but this is ridiculous!

I’ve spent a lot of money on this game, a mid-level whale, and I was happy to do it. But finding out that Nova and Anti-man are only available through a random loot chest (a bad move EA is paying for) is my breaking point. I will not spend another cent on this game until this travesty goes away.

They are bringing loot boxes after the battlefront 2 fiasco ? How dumb are you guys . I will never give you one dime ! Coming from a whale who has drop hundreds of dollars on this game ... go screw your self devs

Changed my 5 star to a 1 star and I urge anyone else to do the same. Let your $$$ speak for you. Don’t support RNG loot boxes!!! I am vip10.. and will not spend a nickel on this game until they come to their senses.

This game used to be great but the latest updates have turned the game into a huge gamble... loot boxes are out of control!!!! I won’t spend another dime in game until they remove this predatory practice.

This game was awesome until the latest update where the devs clearly turned the corner and decided that gouge the player base by switching to an rng loot box/gambling model where players are asked to pay real world money for A CHANCE to get the best players. U guys weren’t making enuff money? I’ll rate it up when they do away with this predatory bs.

With the introduction of powerful, Gambling-exclusive heroes, this game just lost the merit that has supported this game for more than 2 years. DO not spend a cent for this game. Not worth it.

This game was fun until these last past updates where they increased the RNG of getting items in-game. Now they’ve decided to add loot boxes where you have a chance to unlock biometrics for characters that cannot be acquired through any other means. Adding loot boxes does NOT make a game better. All it serves to show is that the company and developers are willing to screw people over for money. Don’t give in to their blatant greed.

The new lootbox system (the ONLY way to get the new characters) is not welcome here. The one thing this game had going for it is that you always knew what you were getting. I am NOT ok spending real money on a CHANCE to get a new hero.

I’ve been enjoying this game for about a year now. I love the gameplay, the roster, and especially the social aspect that I found in my alliance. Netmarble recently announced the next update which has blocked 3 of 5 new characters behind loot boxes, which as you know, are essentially gambling. Some folks with hat kind of money have been kind enough to gather data which suggests that most plays would have to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to even have a decent chance at acquiring a from of these new toons. Absolutely sick.

I have played this game for over a year and a half. This new update is adding in a mechanic that I, like much of the other player base, absolutely despise. They have locked characters behind an RNG wall and I will not stand for this. I will not be renewing any more of my subscriptions in the game until this update is fixed. Please dont ruin this game netmarble.
