I hate to have to give this game one star. You guys are better than this. Dont give in to the loot box trend! Make it right, and Ill give you 5 stars.

Yeeeeah. Only way to get a particular character is trough RNG?! Bad precedent and not smart given the environment regarding loot boxes. I don’t mind paying a subscription to guarantee getting a character but paying to have the privilege of having RNG to get a character? I can’t stand besides that. No more money from me!

For almost 3 years this game has thrived on a random number generator(rng) play style and it was tolerable even with a bio subscription every character was obtainable, as of the last update Netmarble has introduced premium hero chests which is requiring a new level of rng to obtain viable heroes for gameplay it is unacceptable the system wasn’t broke don’t fix it! VIP13 player no longer playing because of this. You will no longer get my money!

The only mobile game I play. I really enjoy it. I’m fine with paying for what I know what I’m getting. But since patch 3.6, lootbox-only character were introduced. And I’m not a big fan of gambling. Leaving the review like many others disappointed players, hoping for less predatory practices in the gaming industry future.

I’ve been playing this game literally since day 1 of it. It used to be the best game on the market, especially if you’re a die hard Marvel fan like me. I’ve been here through all the ups and downs. For the first year everything they did was great, but over the last year they’ve been turning the game into a pay to win game little by little. But still I was always the one finding the good outta the updates that other people complained about. I don’t mind NM trying to make some money while putting out a good game. Even last months update which brought CTP obelisks and I spent 80 dollars trying to get one but didn’t, I didn’t complain about. RNG has never been very nice to me in this game. But this new update is just over the top BAD!!! Making new toons that you can’t even use the resources that you’ve paid for, to get them, is just garbage. Putting them in a chest that you have to pay a lot of money for and hope RNG is gonna be nice to you and actually give you one of the 3 outta 130+ toons is wrong. Then you get one, woo hoo, but it’s useless cause now you need to either spend 80 dollars on a mega T2 ticket or buy more and more and more chests hoping to get bios for that character so you can max out his/her gears so you can make him/her T2. This is BULL****!!! It’s a cash grab at the highest form. I luv this game and I haven’t missed a single day of playing it in over 2 years, I even have about 6 thousand dollars invested in it over its lifetime, but with the direction they are going with the last couple updates I’m actually hoping it crashes and burns. I’d rather it just die now then to keep throwing money at it. Personally I think everyone should boycott the new chests and hope they change how these characters are obtained, but I don’t see the top 1% (whales) doing that, so now I’m just hoping it crashes and burns so I can finally move on. NM was actually a really cool company in the beginning, but somewhere along the way they’ve turned into greedy pigs and we shouldn’t be dumb enough to feed them. Let them starve and see if they go back to being cool or see if they’re beyond hope and just kill the game.

They just introduced the most heinous of gaming practices, gambling disguised as "progress". Heroes and villains alike united together to boycott such evil. #NoLootBoxes

It’s been going on for a while now but Netmarble is slowly turning MFF into a pay to win model game that everybody hates. This last update locked 4 out of 5 new toons behind a paywall and 3 of them completely random as well, meaning you could spend a $1000 and never be able to max any of those 3. It seems like they are dead set on this new pricing model, and I can tell you the community is having none of it. Stay away from this game, it’s going down a slippery slope.

Cant play the game because there is no update in the app store for me. Please fix thanks.

Terrible loot box gambling mechanic.

Each update requires more $$ for advancement! ??

This latest update 3.6 introduces 3 new characters that are only available by spending crystals (real money) on a random box in the hope you get the bios you need. This has no place in this game and hasn’t until now. This is unacceptable and I can no longer recommend this game to anyone. Net marble need to undo this.

I’ve been playing this game since day 1 and I’ve noticed the slippery slope the games been on. Ever since Carnage was first introduced and you had to pay 10$ to get him. This is the only game I said “what the hell its only a few bucks” and I went ahead and spent the money. Now we have to get new character through expensive RNG boxes? No thanks, you guys won’t see another penny from me until you change this. #boycottnetmarble

Hate that this game is moving towards predatory tactics that is harmful towards adults and children alike. There is no need to expose anyone to gambling like this.

With their latest update (3.6), Netmarble has quadrupled down on deciding to turn gaming into a psychological contest of wills, hiding rewards and now characters behind expensive, randomized loot crates. If ever a company failed to learn from the mistakes of others (EA?), it appears to be Netmarble. Worse yet, they then gave away free crystals as a seeming act of generosity, but this too is a casino style plot to get people hooked. The community is up in arms with a boycott. You have been warned...

Okay so first I’m a paying costumer vip 11 and u but 10 crystal pack I never got the crystals I contacted netmarble and they told me apple would have to me my refund okay sounds good but the problem is it was a gift card and and it clearly says on the back no refunds in app purchases like really and now this u have to get lucky and spend thousands and thousands of crystals for a CHANCE to win a new character that why I quit contest of champions

Been playing this game since it was released and thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn’t mind paying for the bio selector each month to unlock and level up premium characters, didn’t mind grinding for other characters when I knew what I was going to get. But now I’ve got to pay for a CHANCE to unlock a character?? Not doing it-that needs to be fixed.

EDIT The new 3.6 update will ruin this game. They have gone completely to pay to win RNG loot boxes for new characters. I will not spend another dollar until they change this. No one should support these predatory practices. We have to show them they cant treat their players this way. I have spent likely thousands of dollars on this game and it has been great until now, one of the only games that was good to their players but they have gone down the same road that EA has and they must pay for it. #BOYCOTT This game is amazing and netmarble is one of the only developers that truly listen to their players. Whenever there is a problem or a bug they immediately address it. These updates have been fantastic and I hope they keep it up. That being said a few of the things they said were going to be in the update arent there such as selecting your villain siege stage at will..they are all still locked. Please fix this and also love the new uniforms but plz give some uniforms to characters who have none before you give them to characters who alrdy have three! You guys are awesome!

New update adds horrible loot boxes that have no guarantee of obtaining the new characters. Previously you were able to work towards 99% of goals in the game without buying random boxes that have a high probability of garbage. Beginning of the end unless they change this cash-grabbing-despicable tactic. Avoid this game until it’s fixed.

Love this game but having to spend money to get the best characters can get very hard. But This lastest update came the biggest cash grabbers in the game since that 7000 crystals for magneto. I don’t mind spending money on games but this is starting to get to expensive. As a fan who understand that y’all need to make money to keep the game rolling. My only advice to the company is to release more bundles and less luck based loot crates.
